Parasport Italia ZX Full Face Helmet

Helmets in skydiving have evolved because the sport has changed. Today, the requirements are very specific and demanding. The ZX is the answer to this quest for high-level specifications.

The helmet is built around an EPS shock-absorbing layer, allowing the ZX to pass tests for both the XP S72-600, specific to skydiving and indoor flying, and the EN966 Cat. HPG, dedicated to paragliding and hang gliding. The outer shell of the helmet, made of shock-absorbing ABS certified for motorcycle helmets, also plays a key role in impact control.

As further protection, the ZX lens is also certified according to EN166 specifications. An important feature for your safety!

All certifications follow the updated regulations for personal protective equipment, the CEPPE EU 2016/425, now mandatory for quality products. The application of these standards, even when not specifically required, allows us to deliver products that:

• Are made of high-quality raw materials, which do not harm the user (such as non-toxic or hypoallergenic)

• Follow a quality standard for production

• Have undergone independent laboratory tests, including impact forces, stability, prevention of line entanglement, and release forces of the chin strap under tension.

• Following these strict standards has driven us to design a helmet that is comfortable to wear, even for long periods and in hot weather.

The shock-absorbing EPS layer is designed with ventilation channels to create airflow that reduces humidity inside. Air intakes are protected by metal mesh to prevent objects from entering the helmet itself.

The hypoallergenic lining not only provides superior comfort but can also be adjusted or removed for cleaning, or to set one of the available sizes. Naturally placed pockets near the ears are the perfect and comfortable spot for one or two audibles.

The adjustable chin strap sits comfortably on the neck and is complemented by the robust Microlock quick-release buckle with a ratchet that is easy to operate, adjust, and release (even under tension, still with one hand).

The airtight rim is made of stretchable material, making the helmet easy to put on and take off.

Great care has been taken in the design of the UV-filtering visor, certified against high-speed particle impacts, with an eccentric rotation that keeps the visor flat against the helmet shell when opened. This is achieved with a unique, maintenance-free rotation system with sturdy and reliable metal springs. This system not only makes the design unique but also has the advantage of avoiding the drag effect when flying at high speeds.

A very important part of the design is dedicated to the locking system, keeping the visor free from any opaque attachment points and securely closed, while protecting the opening mechanism. Easy to operate with gloves, it is a very important detail on the ZX.
