PILOT 7 Rethink the number 7.

When you have a well-known name, you’re expected to live up to it. This expectation certainly influenced the design of the Pilot7. The Pilot 9-cell parachute has built a solid reputation for its beautiful openings, flat glide, and powerful flare. The new Pilot7 had to be something truly special to be worthy of the Pilot name.

It is.

The Pilot7 is arguably the best wingsuit parachute ever made. It delivers extraordinarily consistent openings, inspiring confidence in everyone from beginner wingsuit flyers to world champions (and many of both are happy Pilot7 flyers). In flight, you’ll find the Pilot7 to be an agile and fun canopy. Its predictability encourages you to push its limits and enjoy it even more. It has a flat glide angle and a powerful flare—likely more than any 7-cell you’ve ever experienced.

We manufacture this parachute in standard ZP, in our low-pack-volume honeycomb weave ZPX, and in a new alchemy of materials we call UltraLPV. This combines ZPX for the top skin and stabilizers, FX-11 (the low-pack-volume material used in the SmartLPV) for the ribs and bottom skin, and ZLX lines to achieve an astonishingly low pack volume.

While we know that wingsuit flyers love a 7-cell canopy with great openings and unmatched low pack volumes, we also expect demand from a broader spectrum of the skydiving community. Students, younger jumpers, and older jumpers will all benefit from the forgiving openings, low pack volumes, and outstanding flight characteristics of the Pilot7.
